Batch helps students group-order food for a shared pickup window. This notice explains the information Batch collects and why it is used. Read our Terms of Use.
Information you provide
We collect the information needed to create and secure your account, such as your email address, name, role, campus, and account preferences. We also receive orders, pickup selections, promotion codes, support messages, and menu, shop, or food photos uploaded by a partner.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. Batch receives payment and payout status, transaction identifiers, and limited payment-method details such as a card brand and last four digits. Batch does not store complete card numbers, bank passwords, or online-banking credentials.
Device and usage information
We may collect device, app, diagnostic, approximate location, notification-token, and interaction information when needed for security, pickup updates, reliability, or navigation. Location and notifications are optional device permissions and can be changed in system settings.
How we use information
We use information to provide role-based accounts; show shops, menus, and offers; calculate group pricing, taxes, promotions, and tips; process payments and payouts; coordinate pickup and notifications; prevent fraud; improve the service; and comply with legal obligations.
When information is shared
We share only what is reasonably needed with service providers that operate Batch, including AWS hosting, database, storage, authentication, notifications, maps, analytics, and Stripe payment services. A shop receives order details needed to prepare it, and a courier receives pickup details needed for an assigned route. We do not sell personal information.
Choices, retention, and security
You can update your profile, manage payment methods through Stripe, control notifications and location permissions, and request access or deletion by contacting privacy@batcheats.com. We retain information while your account or order relationship is active and as needed for safety, accounting, disputes, and legal requirements. We use reasonable safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
Children and updates
Batch is intended for people age 13 and older and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this notice when the service changes and, when appropriate, ask for renewed consent.
